Our good friend Ben Chodoroff has been working on a wireless networked garden sensor for use in urban farms. The goals is to build a low cost, easily programmable environmental data sensor kit. This kit will measures temperature, humidity, soil ph, and other environmental factors so that gardeners may increase yields and efficiencies by tailoring their growing practices in response to the data collected.

Currently it is only a prototype but we are anxious to see it in action! For more info, you can check out his blog at Detriot.org
