The Makerspace makers are LOVING WreckLab! No mystery here…taking stuff apart is fun! Likewise, it is a great opportunity for Ted and I to explain some of the basic parts and electronics inside ordinary household electronics such as switches, potentiometers, and motors, as well as more advanced parts such as 7-segment LED displays, ink pumps, etc. Next week, we will begin transforming our found parts into new objects to help the students better understand what they are and what they do.
